MEET JULIE
Owner & Principal Designer
Julie Davis-Gerard has been in the interior design industry for over 30 years. Julie is an allied member of the ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers, and has been featured in multiple publications.
As a company, jdg INTERIORS | Beyond The Mill Design believes in honing their craft — as designers — and collaborating with the best architects, builders, tradesmen, and suppliers who understand quality as well as communication. This allows for successful relationships all the way through, and at JDG Interior Design, we believe these philosophies make us not only better designers, but result in incredible working partnerships! Since launching her custom furniture & interior design career in 1990, Julie has accumulated extensive working knowledge from customized furniture, interior design, custom-built homes to remodels and every aspect in between. Her passion to understand the style of each client and the ability to weave in personal design-specific details to each project help create an inviting and comfortable space which, most importantly, feels like home. Julie designs homes with the customer in mind and would not design something that she wouldn’t do in her own home.
Julie has designed over 100 homes/spaces and maintained many relationships with clients that keep them returning for Julie’s design expertise.
MEET JANE
Associate Designer
Jane has had a lifetime of love for home decor & interior design. She has much experience in design, including work as a photography stylist for furniture & home goods at Hecht’s, Macy’s and her freelance clients. Her experience continues into furniture retail, as the store designer and sales associate at Ethan Allen, Belfort and Wolf Furniture. Jane has worked with jdg INTERIORS | Beyond The Mill Design throughout the years as the company has grown and expanded. With her design experience, and knowledge of the industry, she helped with store/home staging, interior design and client relationships. Jane applies her keen sense of style to each clients’ home.
Jane studied Art History at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She currently lives in Leesburg, VA where she enjoys photography and all things outdoors. She can’t wait to share her passion for design with you.
MEET KRYSTA
Director of Marketing & Web Design
Krysta Solomon has been a part of the design team since 2012. In addition to her design experience with jdg INTERIORS | Beyond The Mill Design, she has a passion for creative digital design and watching media come to life. With the constant shift in social media and importance in a media presence, Krysta taught herself to keep up with the times. She specializes in website development, marketing and social media.
Krysta also maintains her freelance photography business, Krysta Rene Photography. Photography & interior design go hand in hand when it comes to properly marketing yourself, which is why it is Krysta's goal is to capture the beauty, authenticity and quality of jdg INTERIORS | Beyond The Mill Design.
